Dark Pastels theme for IntelliJ IDEA

I've been using the ported Vibrant Ink theme for IntelliJ IDEA for a while but got envious looking at the Dark Pastels theme for NetBeans. I took a few minutes to adjust the Vibrant Ink theme to match the color scheme in Dark Pastels. You can see the results here:

Unfortunately there's no way to adjust the background color of the entire IDE so this is only applicable to the editor window. In case you're wondering, the font is Anonymous.

1. Download the ported theme.
2. Select File -> Import Settings within IntelliJ IDEA

This was created using IntelliJ IDEA 8.1. I don't know if it will work for previous versions.

    Tried it out on IntelliJ9 (Build 93-13) - works as advertised, nice! For Groovy you will want to change the unresolved references colour to something other than black underlined, as that does not show up well ;).
  • I haven't upgraded to 9 yet. I ran the EAP builds but haven't been able to justify the upgrade cost yet. I'll take a look at the Groovy mappings when I do. Thanks.
  • Thank you! Too bad the entire IDE cannot be coloured (at least the backgrounds from a blaring #FFFFFF to something darker so the contrast wouldn't kill the eyes :-)

    Nice theme! Brian Takita created git repo with customized RubyMine settings, see http://github.com/btakita/rubymine-extensions/t.... I suggest you to push your theme there. E.g that repo contains "green-chaud color scheme" ported by Hannes Rammer.
